If you don't have Photoshop, you could use the Text box tool in Microsoft Word or a frame in Microsoft Publisher - though these are quite a bit harder to work with than Photoshop which is already difficult and the results will not look as good no matter how much care you use. The advantage of Word over Publisher is that you have the option to use Wordart and 3D text.

I read JPEG image file and store its bits to a text file. I have tried writing a binary file but it doesn't retrieve the image file. Please steer me to the right direction. I'm busting my head into this for couple of days but no luck so far.
Basically the text within an image can not be edited but there are some smart tricks to replace the text with a new one. The only way to edit a text within a JPG is to paint over it and add a new text. There is no way to edit text within a JPG file. I will simply add a background color for text using the Rectangle Tool.
The text can be words, emojis, or WordArt images. Start by uploading a photo or pasting a link to import your photo into the Kapwing Studio. In the Studio, select the Text tool in the top toolbar and write what you want your text box to say. Add as many text boxes as you want to your canvas and edit them all however you want.
